A Decentralized Control Strategy Based on V-I Droop for Enhancing Dynamics of Autonomous Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

This article presents a GPS-based decentralized control strategy for hybrid ac/dc microgrids. The proposed method uses V-I droop characteristics the distributed energy resources (DERs) in each of ac and dc subgrids. In particular, output voltage DER is adjusted as piecewise linear function per-unit (pu) current. addition, interlink converter (IC) to attain global power sharing among DERs. IC controller changes deviation bus voltage. way, flow between subgrids such that DERs experience same pu hence deliver current active power. contrast with existing approaches, does not require frequency or calculations but directly measurements loops. So delay associated feedback signals minimized, which avails accurate load during transients. Experimental results show eliminates transient overshoots DERs' powers by offering fast overdamped dynamic response.
